Have you ever felt like something was missing — like you needed more, but couldn’t quite name it?
That’s exactly how I felt before Sp1cy Be4n Creates came to life — a journey that turned uncertainty into creativity, and burnout into joy.
Hi, I'm Lauren — the maker, mess-maker, and heart behind Sp1cy Be4n Creates!
Welcome to my quirky corner of the world, where polymer clay meets playful imagination, and art is all about having fun, making mistakes, and embracing your creative spark.
Sp1cy Be4n Creates began in January 2025 during a really tough time in my life. I was feeling lost, burnt out, and stuck in a rut. I’ve always been a creative soul, but it wasn’t until 2024 that I started experimenting with digital art. I bought myself an iPad and an Apple Pencil, started doodling... and let’s be real, I was terrible! But with practice (and a lot of YouTube tutorials), I slowly started to improve and rediscover my love for making things.
Then came my birthday, and everything changed. I received an air-dry clay sculpting kit and fell in love instantly. There was something so therapeutic about using my hands to create cute little objects I could actually hold. My first pieces? Wobbly. Cracked. Kinda strange. But I kept going — and eventually, I stumbled across polymer clay.
That’s when everything clicked.
In January 2025, I decided to channel my energy into something joyful and healing. I made my first few pairs of earrings, got completely hooked, and by the end of the month, I was selling on Etsy. Just a couple of months later, I was popping up at local maker’s markets across Cheshire, Shropshire, and Manchester. Sp1cy Be4n Creates was no longer just a hobby — it became my way of sharing light, color, and creativity with others.
My mission? To create cute, quirky, functional pieces that spark joy and remind people to embrace their inner child. Every piece I make — from earrings to art prints — is a little love letter to that playful, imaginative side we all have.
I’m also passionate about helping others reconnect with their creativity. That’s why I run hands-on clay workshops across the UK, open to absolutely everyone — whether you’re a seasoned maker or just curious to give it a go. My goal is to help you explore your creative side in a safe, silly, and welcoming space.
Thanks so much for stopping by and supporting my small business.
Be quirky, be creative, and never stop making things that make you smile.
